Gator Credit Initiative has launched a two-month summer internship program exclusively for UF students, it was announced today by Michael Gosiker, co-founder and chairman of GCI. Applications are being accepted for roles in HR, Marketing, Communications and Graphic Design.

"For nearly five years, GCI has offered students the ability to give back to their community in classrooms throughout North Florida,” said Mr. Gosiker. “More recently, this has not been possible due to the effects of COVID-19. This year has challenged all of us with immense change, and for many, created a great deal of uncertainty as it relates to finding a job after college."

"With our in-person presentations on hold, and our team hard at work preparing for our next phase of growth in additional Florida communities, there is no better time for us to launch a rigorous internship program."

GCI will be offering two-month programs beginning in May, and students can expect to work remotely approximately twenty hours per week. All internships will be eligible for college credit. Interested students can send a copy of their resume to intern@ufgci.org for next steps.

"Internships are an essential part of college that give young people the chance to apply their hard-earned knowledge in real life," said Selyne Singh, director at Gator Credit Initiative. "Drawing on our teams' experience at world-renowned companies such as Walt Disney, J.P. Morgan, Southwest and more, our programs have been designed from the ground up to give students valuable work experience in their fields of study."
